A mass shooting in Madison, Wisconsin, ended with a teacher, a student, and the shooter all dead, and six students wounded. Chaya Raichik used Libs Of TikTok to spread a rumour that the shooter was transgender, and Matt Gaetz retweeted it, with the question, “What about trans control?” According to the police, there is no evidence that the shooter was transgender. For spreading false information in order to frame a shooter as transgender, Matt Gaez, Chaya Raichik, and everyone else who rushed to spread the rumour that the shooter was transgender get a TWIT. Stephen Fry said that he is “not sure” that he supports the charity Stonewall, because of their “nonsensical” support of transgender rights. Mr. Fry, who read the British audiobooks of the Harry Potter series, refused to criticize J.K. Rowling’s anti-transgender views, although he did not endorse them. Maui Preparatory Academy has proposed a rule which would ban the use of any non-binary pronouns for students, and a rule which would tie restroom use and uniform to a student’s gender assigned at birth. As we mentioned in the news, U..S. Senators John Kennedy (R-LA) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) used a hearing on sports gambling as a platform to spread their views on transgender athletes. The hearing, before the Senate Judiciary Committee, had no experts to help them interpret the results of any studies on the topic, which meant that their prejudices were allowed to run wild.
