Lesbian kiss in ‘House of the Dragon’ was not in the original script, says actress

In the sixth episode of the second season of “House of the Dragon“, aired on Sunday (21) by MAX, fans were surprised by the lesbian kiss scene between the characters Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Lady Mysaria (Sonoya Mizuno). In an interview with TheWrap, actress Sonoya Mizuno revealed that the scene was not originally in the script.

Understand the Scene

After the events of Rook’s Rest, Rhaenyra and Mysaria are talking, and Mysaria begins to share a bit about her past and traumas. The characters then embrace, and this embrace turns into a kiss. Mizuno explained that the kiss was not planned and emerged organically during filming.

Relationship with Daemon

She pointed out that both characters saw many similarities between themselves, including their struggles in a patriarchal society and their status as outsiders.
