For the second year in a row, Instagram won, with 46% of popular preference, the trophy of the 2021 Poc Awards in the “Friendly Platform” category, intended for the social network that most acted against LGBTphobia in 2021.

“For us, it is an immense happiness to be chosen for the second year in a row as the most friendly platform for the LGBTQIA+ community. For over a decade, we have been working to promote a positive and inclusive community where everyone can express themselves freely and safely, being who they really are.” says Melissa Amorim Magrani, Instagram Communications Director, to GAY BLOG BR.

“Diversity is one of our key values ​​and a big part of what makes Instagram, Instagram. We want to be by the side, listen and participate in the construction of these stories. That’s why we develop projects capable of reflecting this plurality”, emphasizes the director.
