British singer Yungblud made a stadium full of fans weep with joy when he brought a trans person on stage to sing ‘Life On Mars’.

The trans fan proclaimed “I’m nine days post-op” and showed the crowd their bare chest, with top surgery bandages across it, to loud cheers when Yungblud brought them on stage.

Yungblud, draped in a pink, white and blue trans Pride flag, then launched into his hit ‘Life On Mars’, later giving the fan the microphone to sing the chorus to the crowd.

On Instagram, Yungblud posted a photo of himself and a video of him with the trans fan, writing: “There is life on mars. I’m so proud to belong to this family that shouts and screams in the name of equality, visibility, pride and love!

“Keep screaming everyday, I adore you all.”

The singer then tagged actor Kenya Sterling, who was the fan on stage with him. “Everyone go show some love for @abstractkid you’re a fucking legend!” he wrote.

Kenya shared a different video of the moment that Yungblud pulled him from the crowd and brought him on stage, writing: “The best night of my entire life. I got to sing and be on stage with @yungblud an amazing start to my birthday month.”

They also tagged the person who made the video and Deaf trans activist Elliot, who made the TikTok edit of the video.

“Thank you for using your platform for visibility,” Kenya continued. “I hope that if there was anyone in the crowd who needed to see trans joy got to finally see it. Trans joy exists, there is life on Mars.”

Yungblud, who is pansexual, has been dubbed Britain’s biggest pop-punk star.

He has had a hugely successful career since he released his debut album in 2018. His second album topped the UK album charts, and he has won praise from the likes of Dave Grohl for his pioneering approach to his craft.
