U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, the politician behind the bathroom ban at the Capitol, called police to report an incident with an activist for foster youths. She claims that the person “physically accosted” her, but witnesses say that the activist merely shook her hand. This story comes from Them. Also this week, Representative Mace complained that her “usual supplier” would not print the wrapping paper she wanted, with the anti-transgender phrase she wanted beside her election logo. For exaggerating both incidents, and for rushing to complain about someone else’s behaviour without examining her own, Representative Nancy Mace gets a TWIT.

Florida’s new legislation, which bans the use of public funds for any gender-affirming prescriptions or surgeries, has been applied medical care for to the state’s prisoners. Inmates also report that their hair was cut against their will, and that they wee subject to intense medical exams. For taking matters farther than necessary and for denying gender-affirming medical care, the people involved with administering medical care to prisoners get a TWIT. This story comes from The Advocate.
