Pope Francis received Sister Lucía Caram and members of the team from the Spanish website Religión Digital, known for its publications that challenge Catholic doctrine, in a special audience last week.
Although the Holy See Press Office did not provide official information about the meeting, Religión Digital reported that they presented Pope Francis with a gift in celebration of his 11 years of papacy, highlighting the RDconelPapa campaign, which received tens of thousands of supporters from around the world.

In a post on Facebook, Sister Lucía Caram shared her impressions, describing the Pope as serene and authentic during their conversation. She gifted the pontiff a case containing the Gospel book and psalms that belonged to a soldier who had died during the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Lucía Caram, a Dominican nun of Argentine origin, living in Spain and 57 years old, is known for her controversial positions, including her support for Catalan separatism. In 2023, she expressed her support for same-sex marriage within the Church, while in 2017, she sparked controversy by suggesting that Saint Joseph and the Virgin Mary had sexual relations.
