With over 20 million users worldwide, the SCRUFF app has been gaining momentum in Brazil, becoming one of the most downloaded in the LGBTQ+ segment through iOS and Android devices. Founded in 2010 by Johnny Skandros and Eric Silverberg, SCRUFF is the only app in the segment that continues to be managed by LGBTQ individuals. This makes a significant difference in representation, as the managers are authentic voices of the community, not of international mega-corporations.

When you use Boost, you significantly increase your visibility as more profiles get unlocked, leading to more Woofs, messages, and matches. When your Boost ends, you will receive a summary of your views and other interactions provided by SCRUFF.

To ensure your Boost is successful, we recommend avoiding making changes to your profile, such as uploading a new photo, while the Boost is active. Making changes during this period can cause your Boost to fail or disqualify you from receiving future Boosts.

WHO CAN USE BOOST? The Boost is available for purchase for both free and Pro members. To be eligible for Boost, all you need to do is ensure that you are logged in and that your profile does not have any community flag reports.

HOW DOES BOOST WORK? When you activate a Boost, your profile will be shown to up to 12 times more people in the Discover and Nearby grids of members in your city for 60 minutes. Durante esse período, você verá um cronômetro na página da sua conta que mostra quanto tempo falta para o fim do Boost.

HOW TO BUY OR ACTIVATE A BOOST? Buying a Boost is easy! You can simply go to the Boost Store on your account page.

PURCHASING A BOOST –Tap on your account avatar. Tap on ACTIVATE BOOST. A payment confirmation screen will appear, confirm your details, and your Boost will be added to your profile. You can purchase as many Boosts as you desire and activate them whenever you are ready to use them.

VIEWING OR ACTIVATING PURCHASED BOOSTS – Tap on your profile avatar. If you have previously purchased a Boost, the Boost Store will indicate X Available. Tap on ACTIVATE BOOST. Tap on Activate Boost. A confirmation screen will appear indicating that your Boost has been activated.

HOW TO KNOW WHEN A BOOST IS ACTIVE? When you activate a Boost, you will see a ring around your profile avatar. This ring functions as a countdown timer and can be seen on the main screen of the app. You can easily track the status of your Boost and the remaining time by checking your account page. A countdown timer will also be displayed there.

CAN I CANCEL A BOOST? It is not possible to cancel a Boost once it has been activated. You will need to wait for the 60-minute duration to expire.

HOW DO I VIEW MY BOOST SUMMARY? To view your Boost summary, you can simply tap on “Cruised” and then click on the Boost icon located in the top right corner of the grid.
